    • December 4 - 3
    • December 11 - 5
    • December 18 - 5
  • In the Tuesday Study, I'm leading a series on Luke/Acts.
The session received and discussed the following committee reports:
  1. Christian Growth – It was reported that we'll divide Jesus Time/Sunday School into three age-related groups.
  2. Worship – It was reported that, between January 15 through February 19, Rev. Rudiger will lead a sermon series entitled, “Spiritual Growth for Short People.” During these six Sundays, the congregation will focus on different aspects of spiritual growth.
  3. Outreach – We considered the need to reach out to the community with more intention. This might be done in conjunction with the work of the deacons.
  4. Membership – The report included the following:
    1. A brief discussion of effort to reconnect with some members
    2. Greg Baldt's letter to the newspaper
    3. The need to thank Rick Baldt for shoveling the snow on Saturday, January 7
    4. The need to update the birthday and anniversary list.
The session discussed the following items of old business:
  1. Contact with The Children's Academy – The relationship between the church and The Children's Academy is good.
  2. Consideration of Members Rolls – After a discussion, the session decided not to send the letter written by Rev. Rudiger to those members who were contacted and indicated that they were regularly attending other congregations.
The session discussed the following items of new business:
  1. Consideration and Revision of the Business Plan - Session looked a material prepared by Rocky Campbell related to the work done by the session during 2016 and some goals for 2017.
Having no more business, the meeting was adjourned and closed with prayer. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Sunday, February 12, at 9:00 a.m.
