Income Tax Day: Children may be deductible, but they’re still taxing.
There’s no child so bad that he can’t be used as an income-tax deduction.
A fool and his money are soon parted. The rest of us wait until income-tax time.
Most of us secretly wish we were so rich that we wouldn’t have to pay an income tax.

The Right Question: Leaders do not need answers. Leaders must have the right questions. While "All Are Welcome" messages abound outside churches, Carey Nieuwhof says that "increasingly unchurched people think about walking into a church the way you might think about randomly walking into a wedding to which you weren't invited." Convinced that in the future about the only way non-Christians will enter churches is through personal invitation, he suggests that the next time you drive by a church building you ask: What would it take to convince me that I can walk in uninvited and participate in what they're doing? Want more Right Questions? What Church Leaders Need to Know about Grants and CrowdfundingMany churches need to think more creatively about funding their ministries in today's environment. Church planter and consultant Rosario Picardo provides tips and resources for those interested in exploring the potential of grants and crowdfunding. Read more.
Suggestions for Churches with a ClergywomanIf you have a female pastor, the all-purpose question to remember is: "Would you honestly ask (say, criticize) this if the pastor were a man? If so, okay. If not, drop it." Know that a female pastor continues a tradition of women in ministry going back to biblical times. “THE WORD BECAME FLESH AND DWELT AMONG US.” (John 1:14) God’s word is not an abstraction, but a living presence with us. One way to celebrate that living presence is to come and see the words of the story of the Passion of Christ come alive in human form at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 110 Maine Blvd., East Liverpool, OH.
The Easter Pageant on the Hillside: Palm Sunday, April 9, at 6:00 p.m. and Holy Saturday, April 15, at 6:00 p.m.
For more than thirty-five years now, seventy or more people have portrayed the final days of Jesus life, following Him from the Palm Sunday procession through the Upper Room to the trial, crucifixion, and the resurrection. Over the years it has enriched the spiritual journey of many Christians to see the Passion story recreated and remembered. If the weather is nice you may be seated on chairs in the parking lot (or bring your own chairs). If the weather makes it necessary, you may sit in your vehicles. For more info, call the church office 330-385-3557, M-F 9-Noon.
